Opt For Better Funds

HSBC India Opportunities hasn’t fared as well as some of the other funds in its category

I have invested in HSBC India Opportunities Fund. Should I hold or redeem my investments?
-Rajesh Kulkarni

HSBC India Opportunities is a three star rated large- and mid-cap fund which is not the best of performers in its category. The fund mainly focuses on mid-cap companies that have the potential of turning into large caps which has not played out as expected and is reflected in the performance of the fund. You should consider exiting this fund and instead invest in a better performing fund such as HDFC Top 200 or UTI Dividend Yield fund in the same category.
