No Load, No Costs

Since the no entry load regime came into effect, investors incur no costs when buying funds from anywhere

Is there any difference in buying mutual funds through my bank or an agent or directly from the AMC? Do I bear any charges when not buying directly from the AMC?

Every since the no entry load regime came into effect from August 2009, you incur no costs when investing in mutual funds irrespective from where you buy. You should look at your convenience when investing and if it is the bank that suits you to invest through, you can definitely do so.
