High Returns, High Risks

Investments are linked to risks, with higher returns being generated at the cost of higher risks…

I want to invest for 2-3 years for the highest possible returns. Will investing in mid-cap funds help?- Surinder Suri

Returns on investments are linked to risks, with high returns linked to a high degree of risk. While mid- and small-cap funds have the potential for high returns, they are volatile with returns going into both positive and negative zones. Invest in these funds only if you have the risk appetite for them and understand the downside associated with these funds.
You can consider investing in IDFC Premier Equity or HDFC Mid-Cap Opportunities, which are mid- and small-cap funds with a proven track record and performance history to invest in. However, remember to assess the progress of these funds at least once a year and invest regularly in them.
