The dividend or growth option when investing in an equity mutual fund depends on your need. For instance if you are looking at income from the investment the dividend option works better. The growth option on the other hand is for building wealth over the long term. However, do remember that the dividend is neither fixed in amount or frequency in case of the dividend option of an equity mutual fund.
