A move from PPF to FD can be beneficial if the former has been held for seven years…

With the fixed deposit interest rates on the rise, is it advisable to withdraw some amount from the PPF account and transfer to a fixed deposit that earns higher than the PPF?

If you have been holding the PPF account for seven years when partial withdrawal is permitted, such a move will be beneficial. But be prudent with such a move and try locking in the fixed deposit rate for as long as possible, considering PPF rates are fixed and are unlikely to rise any more.
