I am new to the mutual fund investing. I am interested in investing for a period of 4-5 years. As I am already 60 years old, I cannot take risks. Can you suggest some funds to invest in?

It is heartening to note that despite your age, you are still interested in mutual fund investments. Assuming you are looking at capital appreciation with some risk, you should consider investing in a few good equity-oriented hybrid funds. These funds maintain a 60:40 equity-debt allocation, where the equity allocation provides capital appreciation and the bond allocation ensures overall portfolio stability if equities do not fare well. You can consider investing in HDFC Prudence or Reliance Regular Savings Balanced fund that are among the best performing funds in this category.
