Stable Growth

Use a mix of hybrid funds in your portfolio to counter volatility

I want to start investing Rs 15,000 a month above the Rs 1 lakh a year ear-marked for Section 80C benefits. Considering I am the only bread winner, please suggest a portfolio for it.

What you need is a portfolio comprising funds that suits an investor facing a sudden change in their financial situation or life stage. The overall portfolio will have 70 per cent equity exposure and will offer stable growth. The idea being, the hybrid funds will push the portfolio returns when the markets go up and also have the ability to cushion the portfolio returns when the markets fall. Have equal allocation across these four funds for your need and track its performance regularly.
