Regulatory changes: The changes further drive in the need to have mutual funds in one's investment portfolio. Going forward we need to see higher flows into funds as well as address the rising outflows by inculcating a culture of long-term investing.
State of the market: I think Indian investors obsess too much with the day -to-day levels of the market. An investor should clearly understand two things about the equity markets; first that returns will typically come by staying invested for a reasonably long period and second, equity is a volatile asset class and hence a short investment horizon could erode capital. In this context we believe that over the next 5 to 10 years India is going to present fantastic investment opportunities. I urge Indian investors to participate in the Indian mutual fund industry for wealth creation.

My investing style: My savings are in a mix of investments across various asset classes. Needless to say most of my financial assets are in mutual funds.
