The recently disinvested government enterprise; Coal India Limited raised Rs 15,000 crore through its IPO soars on listing

The Coal India Limited (CIL) stocks jumped over 35 per cent in the first hour of trading after listing on the exchanges on Thursday.

On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the shares of the PSU listed at Rs 291 and by 10:30 AM the share price touched Rs 338.95. On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company the stock was listed at Rs 287.45. The gains over the issue price of Rs 245 is a Diwali bonus for investors who were invested for listing day gains.
