Process driven operations make business operations nimble footed in the market. The fund house, with its wide network and products, has an offering suited for every investor. "The regulatory changes are aimed at increased transparency. With these changes, mutual funds are one of the cheapest investment options for investors. These initiatives will help strengthen the relationship between the financial advisor and investor," feels Nimesh Shah, managing director, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund.
Regulatory Changes: There have been several regulatory changes aimed at increasing transparency and investor convenience. Today, due to these changes mutual funds are one of the cheapest investment avenue for investors. For an investor seeking to beat inflation investing in equity through mutual funds is ideal and most affordable. Investors are provided the expertise of an entire fund management team at a nominal cost.
State of the market: At current levels the market is at the higher end of fair value. Given the valuations, corrections are always possible. However, we are in a growth environment and if we believe earnings would grow then the valuations of the index, which is above fair value currently, can become fair value in the next six months.
The road ahead: We have the fiduciary responsibility of managing investor wealth prudently. Our focus is, therefore, on having a process driven and investor-centric investment approach. We will be working towards improving investor awareness in all the 200 locations where we are present.
My investing style: I am a long-term equity investor. I strongly believe that equity is the only asset class with the potential to beat inflation over the long term.
