Large and Mid-cap Funds

For a horizon of 4-5 years, we suggest you go for a large and mid-cap fund to benefit from rallies in either market cap

Considering that the large-cap funds are finding it difficult to generate good returns, can you suggest some good mid- and small-cap funds? My horizon is around 4-5 years.

At Value Research, we classify funds according to four market cap categories: Large, Large & Mid, Mid & Small, and Multi Cap. Your time horizon is not all that long, just a few years. If you are going for just one fund, we suggest that you consider a fund in the Large & Mid Cap space, so during this time period you will benefit if either market cap rallies. If you are going for more than one, ensure that at least one fund is from the Large & Mid Cap space.

We are assuming that you do not have any other fund, hence we are not even suggesting multi-cap funds which take on either a large- or mid-cap complexion.
