Holding Onto Magnum Global

Mahesh Jayaraman wants to know if he should continue investing in Magnum Global or opt out

I am investing Rs 3,000 through an SIP in SBI's Magnum Global. Should I continue?

Magnum Global invests in stocks from selected industries with high growth potential. It was among the best equity funds in 2004 and 2005. It was a great trend spotter of sectors and stocks. Its long-term return history is still compelling. But its free fall in 2008 is quite unnerving. The fund is still a hold but on a watchlist to sell, based on any further slip on relative performance.
