Godavari Biorefineries Ltd, established in 1956, focuses on producing a diverse range of bio-based chemicals, sugar, and various grades of ethanol, which serve multiple industries, including food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, personal care, and power generation. Utilizing sugarcane as the primary feedstock, the company has innovatively adopted sugarcane juice and syrup for ethanol production, enhancing the valorization of sugarcane and diversifying its product offerings. As of June 30, 2024, it has established itself as one of the largest ethanol producers in India, with an installed capacity of 570 KLPD. Additionally, the company holds a significant position globally as the largest manufacturer of MPO (3-Methyl-3-Pentene-1) based on installed capacity and is recognized for its pioneering efforts in producing natural 1,3-butylene glycol and bio ethyl acetate.
