About Quant Equity Savings Fund - Regular Plan

Quant Equity Savings Fund - Regular Plan is a hybrid mutual fund scheme of Quant Mutual Fund. Launched on July 24, 2025, it is currently managed by Sanjeev Sharma, Ankit A Pande, Varun Pattani, Sameer Kate, Ayusha Kumbhat and Harshvardhan Bharatia. The fund has an expense ratio of 2.33% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹45 Cr.

Quant Equity Savings Fund - Regular Plan invests about a third of your money each in equity shares, bonds and arbitrage opportunities, though these proportions may vary a bit. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹1,000 and minimum SIP of ₹1,000.

Investment Strategy

The scheme seeks to generate regular income by predominantly investing in arbitrage opportunities in the cash and derivatives segments of the equity markets and debt and money market instruments and to generate long-term capital appreciation through unhedged exposure to equity and equity related instruments. There is no assurance that the investment objective of the scheme will be achieved.

Suitability

Equity Savings funds are suitable for investors:

  • Looking to invest about one third each in equity, debt and arbitrage
  • Aiming for moderately higher returns than fixed deposits, with limited volatility
  • Looking to generate regular income
  • With 3-5 year investment horizon

  • Invest preferably through SIP

Capital Gains Taxation

  • If the mutual fund units are sold after 1 year from the date of investment, gains upto Rs 1.25 lakh in a financial year are exempt from tax. Gains over Rs 1.25 lakh are taxed at the rate of 12.5%.
  • If the mutual fund units are sold within 1 year from the date of investment, entire amount of gain is taxed at the rate of 20%.
  • No tax is to be paid as long as you continue to hold the units.

Dividend Taxation

  • Dividends are added to the income of the investors and taxed according to their respective tax slabs. Further, if an investor's dividend income exceeds Rs. 10,000 in a financial year, the fund house also deducts a TDS of 10% before distributing the dividend.
