About Bank of India Mid & Small Cap Equity & Debt Fund - Regular Plan
Bank of India Mid & Small Cap Equity & Debt Fund - Regular Plan is a hybrid mutual fund scheme of Bank of India Mutual Fund. Launched on July 20, 2016, it is currently managed by Alok Singh. The fund has an expense ratio of 2.87% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹1,482 Cr.
Bank of India Mid & Small Cap Equity & Debt Fund - Regular Plan invests 65-80 per cent of its assets in equity stocks and the remaining 20-35 per cent in bonds. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹1,000 and minimum SIP of ₹1,000.
Investment Strategy
The scheme seeks to provide capital appreciation and income distribution to investors from a portfolio constituting of mid and small cap equity and equity related securities as well as fixed income securities.

Aggressive Hybrid funds are suitable for investors:
- Looking to invest mostly in equity (~75%) with a small debt allocation (~25%) for moderately high returns
- Aiming for long-term wealth creation
- With a 5-8 year investment horizon
- Who are new/unfamiliar with market's ups and downs
Note:
- Invest only through SIP
Capital Gains Taxation
- If the mutual fund units are sold after 1 year from the date of investment, gains upto Rs 1.25 lakh in a financial year are exempt from tax. Gains over Rs 1.25 lakh are taxed at the rate of 12.5%.
- If the mutual fund units are sold within 1 year from the date of investment, entire amount of gain is taxed at the rate of 20%.
- No tax is to be paid as long as you continue to hold the units.
