HSBC Medium Duration Fund - Direct Plan is a debt mutual fund scheme of HSBC Mutual Fund. Launched on February 02, 2015, it is currently managed by Shriram Ramanathan. The fund has an expense ratio of 0.44% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹732 Cr.
HSBC Medium Duration Fund - Direct Plan is mandated to invest in bonds such that the duration of the portfolio is between three to four years. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹1,000 and minimum SIP of ₹1,000.

- If investment is made before 1 April 2023:
- Sold within 2 years from the date of investment: Gains are added to the investors' income and taxed according to the applicable slab rate.
- Sold after 2 years from the date of investment: Gains are taxed at the rate of 12.5%.
- No tax is to be paid as long as you continue to hold the units.
