Bank of India Large & Mid Cap Fund - Direct Plan is a equity mutual fund scheme of Bank of India Mutual Fund. Launched on January 01, 2013, it is currently managed by Nitin Gosar. The fund has an expense ratio of 1.20% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹468 Cr.
Bank of India Large & Mid Cap Equity Fund - Direct Plan is mandated to invest at least 35 per cent of its assets each in large-cap and mid-cap stocks. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹1,000 and minimum SIP of ₹1,000.
Investment Strategy
The scheme aims at income and long-term capital appreciation by investing through a diversified portfolio of predominantly large cap and mid cap equity and equity-related securities including equity derivatives.

Note:
- Invest only through SIP
Capital Gains Taxation
- If the mutual fund units are sold after 1 year from the date of investment, gains upto Rs 1.25 lakh in a financial year are exempt from tax. Gains over Rs 1.25 lakh are taxed at the rate of 12.5%.
- If the mutual fund units are sold within 1 year from the date of investment, entire amount of gain is taxed at the rate of 20%.
- No tax is to be paid as long as you continue to hold the units.
