About Union ELSS Tax Saver Fund
Union ELSS Tax Saver Fund is a equity mutual fund scheme of Union Mutual Fund. Launched on December 23, 2011, it is currently managed by Sanjay Bembalkar and Vinod Malviya. The fund has an expense ratio of 2.35% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹876 Cr.
Union ELSS Tax Saver Fund is mandated to invest at least 80 per cent of its assets in equity stocks. It offers tax exemption under Section 80C of the Indian income tax laws. As per this section, investments of up to Rs 1.5 lakh in a financial year in eligible securities are exempt from tax. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹500 and minimum SIP of ₹500.
Investment Strategy
The scheme seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation by investing substantially in a portfolio consisting of equity and equity related securities.
