After declaring a maiden dividend of 0.9 per cent in July 2000, Sun F&C Monthly Income Plan has skipped a monthly dividend for August 2000. The absence of a payout is apparent since the fund's NAV is languishing below par.
That the AMC has skipped dividend becomes glaring since the other two open-end MIPs from Alliance Capital and Templeton have declared payouts for the month. Alliance, which has not missed a monthly dividend to date, has declared a 1 per cent dividend for September 2000. On the other hand, after skipping a payout in July, Templeton has paid a 0.6 per cent (6 paise) dividend in the monthly option of its MIP for August 2000.
