Prudential ICICI Mutual Fund has declared a dividend of 20 per cent under the dividend option of Prudential ICICI Power Fund. The record date for dividend declaration has been fixed as August 8, 2006.
Launched in September 1994, this is an open-ended equity diversified fund which invests in the core sectors of the economy like telecom, energy, transportation and financial services. The fund has given a year to date return of 15.06 per cent as on August 2, 2006. This is the eighth dividend payout from the fund since its launch. Last year the fund had declared two dividends, a dividend of 25 per cent in March 2005 and a 20 per cent dividend in December 2005.
