Tata Capital Builder Fund

Tata Mutual Fund has launched another diversified equity fund -Tata Capital Builder Fund. It is a three year closed-end fund. After completion of three years, it will be converted to an open-ended scheme. The fund will be initially open for subscription from July 18 to August 18, 2006.

The scheme aims to generate capital appreciation by investing predominantly in equity and equity related instruments of companies across large, mid and small market capitalisation. The fund would benchmark its performance against BSE Sensex. It will invest at least 70 per cent of its assets in equity and up to 30 per cent in debt & money market instruments.

The minimum investment in the fund is Rs 5,000. It would not charge any entry load during the new fund offer period but an exit load equivalent to the unamortized new fund offer expenses will be recovered from the investor in case of redemption before expiry of 3 years from the date of allotment.
