Which category of funds would be suitable for capital protection?

I want to invest Rs 45 lakh for a period of three years. Protection of my principal is of utmost importance to me. Which category of funds should I choose?

To be very conservative, ultra short duration fund or even a short duration fund which does not take huge credit exposure. These are your only options to approach your investments with a goal of capital protection in mind.
