Should I opt for a perpetual SIP?

Dhirendra Kumar discusses the benefits of doing a perpetual SIP

Should I opt for perpetual SIP?
- Joseph

Yes, please do that. Remember that perpetual SIP can also be cancelled. It is good to start a perpetual SIP with the standing instructions of increasing your SIP by 5 per cent or 10 per cent every year. So, if you are able to do top-up SIP or rising SIP with time, that would be a great idea. Because if you start your perpetual SIP with Rs 5,000, 10 years later, that Rs 5,000 will look very small. And if the fund that you have chosen, turns out to be disappointing, it can always be cancelled and you can move your money elsewhere and start your SIP elsewhere.
