Sun F&C Mutual Fund plans to introduce a serial plan under its debt fund, Sun F&C Money Value Bond Fund. The trend to offer serial plans, which guard against interest rate gyration, is catching on with JM, Dundee and Kotak mutual fund already offering this option in their debt funds.
The Sun F&C serial plan will offer maturities of 30 days, 90 days, 180 days and 360 days. While the serial plans offer premature exit option, the fund could charge an exit load of 3-7 per cent on the prevailing net asset value.
