How can I get a 12% return in mutual funds?
- Anil

Transcript: If you look at 3, 5 or 10-year returns, many funds have delivered this kind of return. Most equity funds would have given more than that. But it is not a bankable number. If you are looking at 5 years, even a debt-oriented hybrid fund will give you something close to that. However, if you want 12% annual return on a continuous basis, there is no such fund. Equity returns come in a very unusual way. In some years they would have given 30% or 35% and in some years it would have been negative or a single digit return. So, returns will come in a fairly inconsistent manner. If you are looking for a 12% yielding fund, there is none.
