Should I update my details with every fund?

If you are looking for a one-stop solution, you can check out mutual fund transfer agencies like Cams and Karvy

I had registered for KYC in 2011. But new guidelines require some additional details. I have been getting mails regarding the deadline on 31, December. I don't mind completing the formalities, but it seems I have to do this for every AMC, including in person verification (IPV). Am I right or is there a way out?
