Should I stay invested or stop SIP?

Don't go by the short-term performance of an equity scheme, always give your investments time to perform

I have been investing in Franklin India High Growth Companies Fund through SIP since seven months. It has been giving negative returns. Should I stay invested or stop sip for some time. I do not wish to redeem.

You are placing too much importance on short-term performance. That is not the right strategy if you are investing in equity. You must give your equity investments time to perform. Franklin India High Growth Companies Fund is a five-star muticap scheme that has been a topper in the three- and five-year periods. Don't go by the short-term performance of the scheme, it got a solid track record and it still has the potential to deliver good returns. Continue with your SIP and stay invested.
