Golden Forest Investments

People who had invested in plantation companies like Golden Forest should consult SEBI regarding their investments

I had invested Rs 1,000 in Golden Forest some 10 to 15 years back, but I have no idea what has happened to that. I also want to know what kind of a company is Bajaj Alliance.

There were many plantation companies like Golden Forest that were operating 10-15 years back, but most of them went bankrupt or closed operations because of other reasons. There was no regulatory framework when these companies first started, but later SEBI was assigned as their regulator. SEBI did a great job in formulating laws for these companies, after which a lot of investors have received their money back from the companies that had shut down. We would suggest that you contact SEBI regarding the investments you’ve made in Golden Forest.

We don’t know which Bajaj Alliance scheme you’ve bought, but the company is regulated by IRDA that makes sure the company functions well and won't run away with investors’ money. Alliance is a German insurance major, which has tied up with Bajaj in India. In this sense, Bajaj Alliance is a well-managed and well-regulated company.
