Investing in two funds with a similar mandate doesn’t make sense, even if both are performing well…

I have been investing Rs 1,000 each in Franklin India Prima Plus and Franklin India Flexicap via SIPs for the past 3.5 years. My investment horizon is of 10 years. Should I stay invested in these funds?

While both of these funds are well-performing ones, they are very similar to one another as far as their investment mandates are concerned. We would recommend that you stop your SIPs in Franklin India Flexicap and invest in a diversified equity fund of another fund company.
