About Quant ELSS Tax Saver Fund
Quant ELSS Tax Saver Fund is a equity mutual fund scheme of Quant Mutual Fund. Launched on April 01, 2000, it is currently managed by Ankit A Pande, Sanjeev Sharma, Sandeep Tandon, Varun Pattani, Sameer Kate, Yug Tibrewal and Ayusha Kumbhat. The fund has an expense ratio of 1.80% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹12,506 Cr.
Quant ELSS Tax Saver Fund is mandated to invest at least 80 per cent of its assets in equity stocks. It offers tax exemption under Section 80C of the Indian income tax laws. As per this section, investments of up to Rs 1.5 lakh in a financial year in eligible securities are exempt from tax. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹500 and minimum SIP of ₹500.
Investment Strategy
The scheme aims to generate capital appreciation by investing predominantly in equity shares with growth potential. The secondary objective is to give dividend and other income.

Note:

Capital Gains Taxation
- If the mutual fund units are sold after 1 year from the date of investment, gains upto Rs 1.25 lakh in a financial year are exempt from tax. Gains over Rs 1.25 lakh are taxed at the rate of 12.5%.
- If the mutual fund units are sold within 1 year from the date of investment, entire amount of gain is taxed at the rate of 20%.
- No tax is to be paid as long as you continue to hold the units.
