About Edelweiss Gold ETF
Edelweiss Gold ETF is a commodities mutual fund scheme of Edelweiss Mutual Fund. Launched on November 07, 2023, it is currently managed by Amit Vora. The fund has an expense ratio of 0.51% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹1,515 Cr.
Edelweiss Gold ETF is mandated to invest its assets in physical gold and/or other mutual funds/ETFs which in turn invest in gold. Therefore, you can expect it to generate returns closely in line with the returns provided by the price of gold. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹-- and minimum SIP of ₹--.
Investment Strategy
The scheme seeks to generate returns that are in line with the performance of physical gold in domestic prices, subject to tracking error.

Capital Gains Taxation
- If the mutual fund units are sold after 1 year from the date of investment, gains are taxed at the rate of 12.5%.
- If the mutual fund units are sold within 1 year from the date of investment, entire amount of gain is added to the investors' income and taxed according to the applicable slab rate.
- No tax is to be paid as long as you continue to hold the units.
