About Axis Retirement Fund - Conservative Plan - Direct Plan
Axis Retirement Fund - Conservative Plan - Direct Plan is a hybrid mutual fund scheme of Axis Mutual Fund. Launched on December 20, 2019, it is currently managed by Devang Shah, Hardik Shah and Jayesh Sundar. The fund has an expense ratio of 1.25% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹47 Cr.
The schemes seeks to generate regular income through investments predominantly in debt and money market instruments and to generate long term capital appreciation by investing certain portion of the portfolio in equity and equity related securities. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹1,000 and minimum SIP of ₹1,000.
Investment Strategy
The schemes seeks to generate regular income through investments predominantly in debt and money market instruments and to generate long term capital appreciation by investing certain portion of the portfolio in equity and equity related securities.
Suitability
Conservative Hybrid funds are suitable for investors:
- Looking to invest mostly in debt (~75%) with a small equity allocation (~25%)
- Aiming for moderately higher returns than fixed deposits, with limited volatility
- Looking to generate regular income
- With 3-5 year investment horizon
Note:
- Invest preferably through SIP
- The fund carries a lock-in period of 5 years or till the investor attains retirement age, whichever is earlier
Capital Gains Taxation
The following tax treatment is based upon last 12-months asset allocation and may vary from other funds in the category.
- If the mutual fund units are sold after 2 years from the date of investment, gains are taxed at the rate of 12.5%.
- If the mutual fund units are sold within 2 years from the date of investment, entire amount of gain is added to the investors' income and taxed according to the applicable slab rate.
- No tax is to be paid as long as you continue to hold the units.
