About Zerodha Nifty 100 ETF
Zerodha Nifty 100 ETF is a equity mutual fund scheme of Zerodha Mutual Fund. Launched on June 12, 2024, it is currently managed by Kedarnath Mirajkar. The fund has an expense ratio of 0.26% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹153 Cr.
Zerodha Nifty 100 ETF is mandated to invest at least 80 per cent of its assets in large-cap stocks at all times. Being passively managed, it replicates the portfolio of its chosen benchmark index. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹-- and minimum SIP of ₹--.
Investment Strategy
The scheme seeks to invest in stocks comprising the Nifty 100 Index in the same proportion as in the index to achieve returns equivalent to the Total Return Index of Nifty 100 Index (subject to tracking error).

- Seeking exposure in large-cap stocks for moderately high returns
- Aiming for long-term wealth creation

Capital Gains Taxation
- If the mutual fund units are sold after 1 year from the date of investment, gains upto Rs 1.25 lakh in a financial year are exempt from tax. Gains over Rs 1.25 lakh are taxed at the rate of 12.5%.
- If the mutual fund units are sold within 1 year from the date of investment, entire amount of gain is taxed at the rate of 20%.
- No tax is to be paid as long as you continue to hold the units.
