The scheme seeks regular income and guarantee returns in the form of fixed scholarship to children after a certain waiting period. The scheme can be opened in favor of children less than 18 years of age and the scholarship is payable on a half-yearly or annual basis. The payment of scholarship would initially be 25 per cent of the face value in the yearly scheme and 12 per cent in the halfyearly scheme. The scheme would invest in equities, CDs and NCDs, and money market instruments.
