About Tata Large & Mid Cap Fund - Regular Plan
Tata Large & Mid Cap Fund - Regular Plan is a equity mutual fund scheme of Tata Mutual Fund. Launched on March 31, 1993, it is currently managed by Chandraprakash Padiyar and Kapil Malhotra. The fund has an expense ratio of 1.81% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹7,802 Cr.
Tata Large & Mid Cap Fund - Regular Plan is mandated to invest at least 35 per cent of its assets each in large-cap and mid-cap stocks. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹1,000 and minimum SIP of ₹100.
Investment Strategy
The scheme aims to provide capital appreciation by investing in equity and equity related instruments of well researched value and growth oriented large and mid cap companies.

Note:
- Invest only through SIP
Capital Gains Taxation
- If the mutual fund units are sold after 1 year from the date of investment, gains upto Rs 1.25 lakh in a financial year are exempt from tax. Gains over Rs 1.25 lakh are taxed at the rate of 12.5%.
- If the mutual fund units are sold within 1 year from the date of investment, entire amount of gain is taxed at the rate of 20%.
- No tax is to be paid as long as you continue to hold the units.
