Why you should ditch dividend plans

Many investors, especially retirees, prefer dividend plans when investing in mutual funds. They draw comfort from the fact that these plans give them regular income in the form of dividends. However, even if it is imperative that your investments generate regular income, going the dividend route may not be the best option.
