About ICICI Prudential BSE Midcap Select ETF

ICICI Prudential BSE Midcap Select ETF is a equity mutual fund scheme of ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund. Launched on July 04, 2016, it is currently managed by Nishit Patel, Ajay Kumar Solanki, Ashwini Jemin Bharucha and Venus Ahuja. The fund has an expense ratio of 0.15% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹92 Cr.

ICICI Prudential BSE Midcap Select ETF is mandated to invest at least 65 per cent of its assets in mid-cap stocks at all times. Being passively managed, it replicates the portfolio of its chosen benchmark index. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹-- and minimum SIP of ₹--.

The scheme seeks to provide returns before expenses that closely correspond to the total return of the underlying index subject to tracking errors

Capital Gains Taxation

If the mutual fund units are sold after 1 year from the date of investment, gains upto Rs 1.25 lakh in a financial year are exempt from tax. Gains over Rs 1.25 lakh are taxed at the rate of 12.5%.
If the mutual fund units are sold within 1 year from the date of investment, entire amount of gain is taxed at the rate of 20%.
No tax is to be paid as long as you continue to hold the units.
