About HSBC ELSS Tax Saver Fund
HSBC ELSS Tax Saver Fund is a equity mutual fund scheme of HSBC Mutual Fund. Launched on February 27, 2006, it is currently managed by Abhishek Gupta. The fund has an expense ratio of 1.92% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹4,023 Cr.
HSBC ELSS Tax Saver Fund is mandated to invest at least 80 per cent of its assets in equity stocks. It offers tax exemption under Section 80C of the Indian income tax laws. As per this section, investments of up to Rs 1.5 lakh in a financial year in eligible securities are exempt from tax. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹500 and minimum SIP of ₹500.

The scheme aims to generate long-term capital growth from a diversified portfolio of predominantly equity and equity-related securities.
