About SBI ELSS Tax Saver Fund - Regular Plan
SBI ELSS Tax Saver Fund - Regular Plan is a equity mutual fund scheme of SBI Mutual Fund. Launched on March 31, 1993, it is currently managed by Milind Agrawal. The fund has an expense ratio of 1.57% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹32,171 Cr.
SBI Long Term Equity Fund - Regular Plan is mandated to invest at least 80 per cent of its assets in equity stocks. It offers tax exemption under Section 80C of the Indian income tax laws. As per this section, investments of up to Rs 1.5 lakh in a financial year in eligible securities are exempt from tax. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹500 and minimum SIP of ₹500.
Investment Strategy
The scheme seeks capital appreciation through investments in equities, cumulative convertible preference shares and fully convertible debentures and bonds. The scheme was converted into an open-ended plan in November 1999.
