About LIC MF Children's Fund - Direct Plan
LIC MF Children's Fund - Direct Plan is a equity mutual fund scheme of LIC Mutual Fund. Launched on January 16, 2013, it is currently managed by Karan Doshi and Pratik Harish Shroff. The fund has an expense ratio of 1.62% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹15 Cr.
LIC MF Children's Fund - Direct Plan is mandated to invest at least 65 per cent of its assets in equity stocks at all times. Being a children's fund, it carries a lock-in of 5 years or till the child attains the age of maturity, whichever is earlier. Flexi cap funds have complete freedom to invest in companies of different sizes, depending on where the fund management team expects maximum gains. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹500 and minimum SIP of ₹200.
Investment Strategy
The scheme seeks to provide long term growth of capital through a judicious mix of investments mainly in quality debt securities with relatively low level of risks.
