About Tata BSE Sensex Index Fund - Regular Plan
Tata BSE Sensex Index Fund - Regular Plan is a equity mutual fund scheme of Tata Mutual Fund. Launched on February 25, 2003, it is currently managed by Rakesh Prajapati and Nitin Bharat Sharma. The fund has an expense ratio of 0.57% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹399 Cr.
Tata BSE Sensex Index Fund - Regular Plan is mandated to invest at least 80 per cent of its assets in large-cap stocks at all times. Being passively managed, it replicates the portfolio of its chosen benchmark index. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹1,000 and minimum SIP of ₹150.
Investment Strategy
The scheme aims to provide medium to long term capital gains, by investing in equity shares of only those companies comprised in the BSE Sensex and in the same proportion as that of the index, regardless of their investment merit.
