About Quantum ELSS Tax Saver Fund - Direct Plan
Quantum ELSS Tax Saver Fund - Direct Plan is a equity mutual fund scheme of Quantum Mutual Fund. Launched on December 23, 2008, it is currently managed by George Thomas, Christy Mathai and Ketan Gujarathi. The fund has an expense ratio of 0.89% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹218 Cr.
Quantum ELSS Tax Saver Fund - Direct Plan is mandated to invest at least 80 per cent of its assets in equity stocks. It offers tax exemption under Section 80C of the Indian income tax laws. As per this section, investments of up to Rs 1.5 lakh in a financial year in eligible securities are exempt from tax. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹500 and minimum SIP of ₹500.
Investment Strategy
The scheme seeks capital appreciation through a diversified portfolio comprising primarily of stocks of such companies that will typically be included un the BSE 200 Index, are available at attractive valuations and in a position to benefit from the anticipated growth and development of Indian economy. The scheme can be fully into equities (and equity related securities) and upto 20% in debt & money market instruments.
