About Sundaram Large and Mid Cap Fund
Sundaram Large and Mid Cap Fund is a equity mutual fund scheme of Sundaram Mutual Fund. Launched on February 27, 2007, it is currently managed by Madanagopal Ramu. The fund has an expense ratio of 9.43% with an overall AUM (Assets Under Management) of ₹6,575 Cr.
Sundaram Large and Mid Cap Fund is mandated to invest at least 35 per cent of its assets each in large-cap and mid-cap stocks. The fund allows minimum lumpsum investment of ₹100 and minimum SIP of ₹100.

The scheme seeks capital appreciation by investing predominantly in equity and equity related instruments in large and mid cap stocks

Note:
- Invest only through SIP
Capital Gains Taxation
- If the mutual fund units are sold after 1 year from the date of investment, gains upto Rs 1.25 lakh in a financial year are exempt from tax. Gains over Rs 1.25 lakh are taxed at the rate of 12.5%.
- If the mutual fund units are sold within 1 year from the date of investment, entire amount of gain is taxed at the rate of 20%.
- No tax is to be paid as long as you continue to hold the units.
