A major macro event took place last week (September 16-23) as markets around the world welcomed the much anticipated US Fed rate cut. Domestic markets, too, kept their bullish momentum intact.

How did the major indexes perform?

The Nifty50 approached the 26,000 mark. The BSE Sensex rose more than 2 per cent. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indexes rose around 0.5 per cent each.
