Global markets were buoyant the past week (September 23-30). The biggest gainer was China’s Hang Seng Index that rallied 16 per cent on government stimulus announcements.
Nifty50 briefly crossed the 26,000 mark for the first time. The BSE Sensex and BSE Smallcap closed 0.8 per cent and 0.1 per cent lower. The BSE Metal index was the top sectoral performer with an 8 per cent weekly gain, boosted by China's positive news.
