The human life is considered to be invaluable. So, a single person can take a number of policies. Each life insurance policy is an independent contract. Irrespective of the number of policies and the sum assured under them, in case of the death of the life assured before the maturity of the policy, the policies will be paid as per their terms and conditions. Your legal nominees or legal heirs will be entitled to claim the sum total of both the policies.
