Out of FOFs and actively managed international funds, which one should investors go for?

While investing in an international fund, should one buy a fund of funds (FOF) or an actively managed fund? Which is better?

It doesn't matter. You should be looking at a fund which has all the things that you look for in an equity fund - a fund with a consistent history, a fund with an objective which looks promising to you and it should be able to sustain over a period of time.

You should not be investing in a fund simply because it has done well over the last six months or one year. It is the mechanics, whether it is a fund of funds or a feeder fund or it is investing in multiple funds or carrying a portfolio or building its portfolio of international stocks directly. It doesn't matter, the investment case matters the most.
