How is multi-asset allocation fund different from dynamic equity fund?

Dhirendra Kumar tells whether you should worry if your dynamic equity fund has been reclassified as multi-asset allocation fund

I have invested in a dynamic fund which is now changing to a multi asset allocation fund. What should I do?

I would say that don't get bothered about this. Dynamic equity funds are almost like multi asset allocation funds and it is a cosmetic change only. Dynamic funds had the provision to invest up to 35 percent into fixed income. They also used to go up to 40 to 45 percent through arbitrage positions. So, in that sense, it is a cosmetic change. The name is changing, this is a new category which has come in the classification. Dynamic funds are getting slotted; there is no need for you to worry.
