Answer transcript: This isn't a bad idea. But you don't need to have different funds for different goals. You might have planned to retire in 15 years or may need money for your daughter's wedding in 10 years but you don't necessarily need separate funds. Choosing a good fund and sticking to it will be enough. Earmarking separate goals in your own mind is good enough.
