Indian markets were a bit jittery last week (September 2 - September 9, 2024), in line with the global markets. The biggest loser was the Japanese Nikkei 225, which fell by more than 6 per cent, indicating the sustenance of volatility after the Yen carry trade. The BSE Sensex, Midcap, and Smallcap indices fell 1.2, 1.4, and 0.3 per cent, respectively.
